Recently, Professor Jin’s group makes a major progress in the graphene oxide (GO) membrane research which published in Angew Chem Int Ed (DOI: 10.1002/anie.201401061). We report a GO membrane supported on a ceramic hollow fiber prepared via a vacuum suction method. This GO membrane exhibited excellent water permeation for dimethyl carbonate/water mixtures through a pervaporation (PV) process. The referee gives a high comment for our research. “This paper demonstrated an effective method of preparing ceramic hollow fiber supported GO membrane and showed promising application in PV process. This method may yield high packing density GO/hollow fiber composite membrane modules which made GO membrane one step closer to practical application.”
